Ethics
Red Dragon Inn will at all times reasonably act in the most ethical and sustainable way that is known to it.
Red Dragon Inn believes ethics is the major issue and only supports the development of ethical regional business.
Red Dragon Inn believes all business should state their ethical perspective and be held accountable to it.
If business is primarily supported or rejected by consumers on their ethical values first, and then on their sustainability values, then society as a whole can move forward with confidence.
Your consumer $ is the greatest power ordinary Australians have to foster change in our current situation.
You have a choice in how you spend your $
You can use it to help shape the future world you want for your children.
Use it to foster change toward ethics and sustainability Support local quality ethical business and deny your $ as much as possible, to unethical multinational corporations and opportunistic business.
There is a beautiful book worth reading by all on the subject of how to live an ethical life, coming from a heart based/natural earth connection . Twelve Principles by Martin Hawes. It should be read by all high school students and anyone that cares about 'right living'.
Sales Ethics
RED DRAGON INN believes the over the top manipulative advertising and marketing industry is a central part of the out of control consumer culture that holds back sustainability considerations in our society.
Consequently Red Dragon Inn has for the last three years not engaged in general advertising, preferring to let word of mouth filter through its market place.
Now Red Dragon Inn believes it needs to get its message and ethic out to a wider community, but will restrict its advertising to informing people of what it is doing and why.
It will use website, printed promo cards, newspaper articles and pay for very limited print advertising, particularly in organic and sustainability media.
